Uchenna Ikonne runs the Comb & Razor Sound label whose releases include the critically acclaimed Brand New Wayo: Funk, Fast Times & Nigerian Boogie Badness 1979-1983 compilation among others, and has contributed to various releases by Soundway Records, Strut Records, Stones Throw, Now Again Records, Luaka Bop, Cultures of Soul Records, Secret Stash and other labels. Uchenna was also the key conduit to the completion of the awarding winning “Who Is William Onyeabor” compilation and is featured in the documentary about William Onyeabor called “Fantastic Man.” Uchenna is also DJ and has played various parties across the globe including Morning Fever in Montreal and Lagos Disco Inferno in Brooklyn.
